You might want to check out these two pages:
http://www.missbarbara.net/greatlessons.html
This has the great lessons, which are key to the Montessori elementary years.
Here’s a web site with books about Montessori. This directly links to their Elementary page:
http://astore.amazon.com/monteblog-20?_encoding=UTF8&node=5
Are you just looking to improve your knowledge of that subject or are you looking to home school? If you let me know, I might be able to provide more information.

Q&A: Online colleges that offer general education courses?
Question by ToodleDoo: Online colleges that offer general education courses?
Does anyone know of any accredited online colleges that offer general education courses? I originally wanted to go to a community college to get them out of the way while having time to decide on what I wanted to do for a degree. However, from what I understand, the fall semester began on the 2nd of this month while I was out of town (and still am), so I won’t be able to sign up for classes at the campus until next semester.
My plan was to start taking the general education courses (math, science, history, etc.) online now, and then when the next term starts at the CC, transfer my credits and continue taking my classes at the school. Would this at all be possible? I’d really like to stop wasting time and start on these classes as soon as possible.
Thanks in advance
P.S.- The CC offers their own classes online, but the majority of them are full. I need to be able to start learning now.

I don’t know any accredited colleges that you can take classes at right now… all of them I know are on the same semester schedule as that community college.

I would like to go back to school to further my education, an online degree seems to be a good idea convience wise, but at the same time I have reservations. Im looking for opinions from graduates in both areas – and what kind of experiences you’ve had based on you schooling decisions.
Thanks in advance!!!

It’s great that you have reservations about those online, for-profit schools and please go with your ‘gut feeling’ and listen to that ‘inner voice’ since those online, for-profit schools such as penn foster, ashworth, devry, university of phoenix, capella, ITT tech, kaplan and others are merely out to ‘make a profit’ (and course credits may NOT transfer to other schools): http://www.ripoffreport.com and can search.
Just about all traditional colleges offer some online classes. US colleges: http://www.utexas.edu/world/univ

Is getting an online degree the same as a traditional one?
Question by heystacy760: Is getting an online degree the same as a traditional one?
I attended CSU Chico for a semester until I had to drop out because of the cost. I’m thinking about continuing my education with an online university like University of Pheonix or DeVry University, but I want to get a job as an English teacher grades 6-12. I’m worried that an online degree wouldn’t measure up to a traditional one and no school would hire me. Anyone have any experience or knowledge with this sort of thing?

Answer by Mayi
It is not that you will not be hired, because that would be discriminatory. The question is: would you feel or be prepared enough as to be successful? Being a teacher is difficult itself, you really need a solid preparation…I think that an online degree is not enough, it would be unreal.
