if i do an online higher education course such as nursing or inter design etc and i apply for a job in my choses field does my online qulification go against me instead of going to uni? i dont know wether doing a course online would go against me? are the qualifations gained online as good as uni ones?

As far as I’m aware, employers actually admire people for studying in their own time whilst working, so this would work in your favour whatever the course was that you went for.
I’m considering completing an online course also and I never wanted to go to uni, it just wasn’t for me.
It shows initiative to do it in your own time whilst working as well, and iof you do this instead of going to uni, it shows you know what you wnat from life and you knew you didn’t want to go to uni, instead you wanted to get into the workforce and work to pay for your education.
